1953 Hardy CC de France Palakona Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Vintage 1953 HARDY CC de France Fly Fishing Rod This is a highly sought after vintage "C.C. de France Palakona" fly fishing rod made by Hardy of England in 1953. The rod has three sections with two tips, the extra being a spare in case of breakage of the other tip. The first section measures 33 ¼" in length, the second section measures 32" in length and the end section measures 31 ½" in length. The total length is slightly over 8 feet long. The first section is marked "The C.C. de France Palakona Reg'd Trade Mark". The reel holder is stamped "Hardy's Reg'd Universal Reel Holder" and the end piece is stamped "Made by Hardy's England" with the two Royal Appointments and the serial number of E 89056, which dates the rod to 1953. I'm not an expert, but the rod appears to be in excellent condition, as I believe that the photos will attest to. The only defect that I can see is what appears to be a fine crack to the tip on one of the tip sections up to the first winding - please enlarge the last two photos for a super enlarged look.
