This lot is a 1953 Topps Baseball Near Set (-20) Robinson, Campanella 61% E/VG+, 31% VG/G, 8% F/P The cards missing from the set are: 14. 37, 54, 66, 76, 78, 82, 86, 104,114, 147, 149, 154, 207, 220, 244, 254, 258, 263, & 265. T are SIX cards that were never printed in the set (253,261,267,268,271, and 275). The stars in the set are: #1 Robinson(condition Poor), 27 Campanella(p), 41 Slaughter(g) 61 Wynn(vg), 77 Mize(vg+), 105 Nuxhall(g), 109 Dark(g), 119 Sain(g), 125 Dick Williams(g), 151 Wilhelm(e), 142 Wertz(g), 162 Kluszewski(e), 191 Kiner(e), 185 Dixie Walker(e). I will send scans of any card you would like to see!!!! I have looked at the set three times and the following is the condition of the cards as I see them. My idea of a card's grade maybe different than Beckett, so I tried to explain my system below. EXCELLENT: (105 cards) Card looks great it has nice color and borders with one or two small light flaws. One light small corner ding or two very light rounded or fuzzy corners. 3,4,5,6,7,13,15,18,20,21,23,24,26,29,30,33,42,43,46,51,53,57,59,63,65,68,74,75,80, 95,96,97,98,99,100,102,103,105,107,108,110,112,113,115,116,118,122,123,127,133,135,136,137,140,141,143,144,145,146,148,150,151, 152,153,156,162,164,166,167,168,169,170,171,172,173,181,182,183,184,185,186,191,192,193,194,195,197,198,208,209,211,212,213,214, 224,227,228,231,242,243,246,248,273,277. VERY GOOD PLUS: (52 cards) Card is still with very nice color and look. It may have two corners with a slightly bigger ding or touch than an E card (16 cards). T may be a scuff, or two slightly more rounded corners. T maybe one very light, small crack (4 cards) on the corner or small ding on the border. The card may have corners that are very lightly fuzzy. 11,12,16,35,40,47,48,55,56,60,61,62,64,73,77,79,90,101,106,129,131,134, 155,159,165,174,180,187,188,189,190,200,201,203,215,216,217,229,232,234, 235,238,245,249,250,251,252,253,256,257,259,278. VERY GOOD: (27 cards) Card color is still nice but t will be more corners that are slightly rounded or dinged. T might be one corner ding that is bigger, or up to four slight flaws (slightly rounded or soft corners, one card a bend). No major cracks across a big part or portion of the card, just on the corner or border of approx. ½ in. at the most :25,34,35,36,49,50,84,85,87,88,111,120,124,128,132,157,160,174,175,176,178,199,205,210,255,260,262. GOOD: (52 cards) Most of the cards still look very nice but 3 to 4 flaws keep them from making the VG rating. These flaws may be a larger light crack, a large light bend, more rounded corners with no crack, or more corners that have dings. As the flaws come to reach 3 to 4 the card begins to be of a Good quality instead of a VG. 2,17,19,28,31,38,39,41,44,45,58,81,83,89,92,93,94,109,117,119,120,121,125,126,130, 138,139,142,158,173,177,196,202,203,204,219,221,222,229,233,234,237,241,256, 257,264,266,270,274,275,280. FAIR CONDITION: (11 cards) These cards have four bigger problems. They may have a larger corner crack or two on them. They might have slight flaws adding up to four. 10(one corner crack), 22(three small cracks), 64 (light spots), 72(four rounded corners), 161(crack and corners soft), 163(four corners soft, edges worn), 202(crack down the center), 206(two corner dings, one small ding, 1 rounded corner), 236(corner ding and pin hole),238(three corners rounded, 1 ding, 1 light crack), 239(one corner crack, 2 slightly rounded, one worn). POOR CONDITION: (10 cards) Card is beat up with major damage. #1 Robinson(color good,three cracks across card), 27 Campanella(light crack across card and surface scuff),225(crack across and four rounded corners, 71(front looks EX but paper on the back is torn in spots), 79(front EX again but paper on back is torn in spots), 230(front has three pencil marks, four round corners), 240(four cracks, and 3 ...
