This is a very nice lightly used 1953 Zippo pocket lighter. The front shows an engraved Heraldic Crest with the letters ADCO. The crest depicts lions with crowns holding a shield with a banner at the bottom. Possibly European. It appears that about all of the enamel is present. The case and original insert have the Zippo 2517191 full stamp with the large PAT. PEND. This 1953 model was the first year for the 2517191 stamp. Also the first year Zippo started using the registered trademark subscript as part of the bottom logo. This case does not have any major scratches or dents. Shows light/med handling. The hinge has a small amount of play. The original insert is fairly clean and has a very strong large hump cam spring, stiff white wick, hollow flint wheel rivet, and the flint tube is open and has no obstructions.
