You are bidding on a 1954 CAMP PATCH from CAMP ARATABA,this was the first camp patch since 1941 to designate the year. The patch is in MINT CONDITION NEVER USED. Camp Arataba was located in the Barton Flats area of the San Bernardino Mountains near Jenks Lake and at the foot of the San Gorgonio Mountain. The Arrowhead Area Council leased the land in 1924 from the US Forest Service and used it as a camp until 1960 when the Lodge burned to the ground. As a result of the fire a large parcel of land near Lake Arrowhead was donated to the Council and a new camp was established on it.
