Up for auction is a RARE Vintage Madame Alexander Sweet Violet Doll. Sweet Violet was produced in 1954 only and is 18" tall, made of hard plastic, has a jointed body like the antique German dolls with joints at the knees, hips, wrists, elbows, shoulders and neck. She is a walker and her head turns from sise to side when her legs are moved. Her hair has never been combed and is still in her original hair net with hair pins. She has lovely blushed cheeks with no rubs, dark coral lips, hazel eyes with all eyelashes present, painted on eyebrows and All Original clothing. Her vivid blue dress is tagged and her outfit includes, the dress, cotton half slip, cotton panties, nylon socks, black velvet center snap shoes and hat with blue rosebud material, flowers at the sides and a blue satin ribbon tie. She has the Famous Cissy Face and was a precursor to Cissy. She is in Very Good Condition with a few minor issues. My pics are magnified 10X, so you can see any small imperfection. She is a one owner doll and the owner told me she was not a play doll. She was one of her "Good Dolls" that was put on a shelf to be admired. She has not been stored properly and t are some minor spots on her body, her hat is discolored, small bit of glue on her right temple, very slight rub on her chin, and a slight plastic odor.
