I have been listing submarine related items for the past few months but have decided to switch gears and start listing automobile related items. I was the curator of two marine theme museums (submarines and sailing ships) and after leaving them during the 90's, decided to start my own antique automobile museum. We were incorporated for ten years but never acquired a building, so we dissolved the corporation in 2000. During these years, I collected tons of car stuff to use in displays and elsew I also had quite a few antique cars and sold three on ebay (two 1958 Buicks and a 1981 Imperial) with three pleased buyers. I will be listing a number of items soon so please check back with me.

This item up for auction is quite unusual and a neat thing to watch operate. It has five lights that turn on and off in sequence to illuminate various parts of the engine and associated text. As you can see by the photos, the various stages of illumination look best in a dark room. The display cabinet is heavy cardboard with a wood grained frame and measures 30 inches high by 40 inches long by eight inches wide. The whole item is in good shape for its 53 years. The front surface is a plastic film and looks good except for some slight wrinkles over the text sections, which probably is due to the heat from the lights. If the buyer uses small fluorescent bulbs (cooler) instead of incandescent, t should be no further wrinkling. The title on the front says" '54 FORD - MOST MODERN ENGINES ON THE AMERICAN ROAD , with a subtitle that says, ...Low Friction, High Compression Design With Deep-Block Construction. This unique item will look great in a collector car garage or a recreation room. I'm not sure about the cost for shipping as I plan to build a framed box around the original box, to insure safe transit. The cost will be for shipping only, no handling charges.
