As most of you know, authentic SYROCO (a.k.a. Syrocco, Siroco, SyrocoWood, Syroco Wood) items were made by SYracuse Ornamental CO., in Syracuse N.Y. and MPI (a.k.a. Mult Prod, Multi Prod, MPI) items, were made by Multi Products Inc., of Chicago, IL. Many similar items were made by OrnaWood, Burwood, Anri and Homco. Anri figurines were generally hand carved and the others produced wall items, clocks, pipe holders, etc., but not many figures. Multi Products Inc. had a contract with Walt Disney Productions, in the early 40's, to produce many Disney Characters. The bases were often incised with MPI, WDP and KFS (King Features Syndicate--Comic Strip Characters).
