Thank you for looking at my auction LAST AUCTION WINNER FLACKED OUT ON THE SALE ANS SAID I WAS BEING MEAN AND PLAYING HARD BALL & I NEVER EVEN ASKED HER TO PAY I know vary little about theses things I do not know what the age is on these and don't know how to tell below is just what I saw on another auction These came from an old trunk that I got when my Grandpa past away. They are in good cond. ( it is dust in the photos) it needs to be cleaned as they have been stored as I have had the chest for over 10 years This is a 1954 or 1956 it is vary hard to read it also has the #'s stamped in the bottom (046 or 146 im not sure, and also the # 14 ) I have NO idea what that means condition of this piece is almost perfect, t are no signs of any repair and only one chip in the base at the right side ( see photo) (from other auction) In 1950 the Goebel Company made a major change in their trademark. They incorporated a bee in a V. It is thought that the bumblebee part of the mark was derived from a childhood nickname of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel, meaning bumblebee. The bee flies within a V, which is the first letter of the German word for distributing company. Verkaufsgesellschaft . The mark was to honor M. I.
