This is an 8" vintage and near mint 1955 straight leg walker Alexander Kins by Madame Alexander. She is pictured on page 44 of Patricia Smith's The World of Alexander kins published by Collector Books. She comes with her original booklet which also shows her in her school dress ( #444). She has hazel eyes which open and close easily. The elastic on her hat has come off on one side. Her hat is green straw with dark pink ribbons....perfect shape. She wears her original, tagged green cotton dress topped by a pink flowered pinafore with a ruffle. She has her original socks but I think her shoes are replacements. All references indicate green shoes. She wears red ones that are definitely vintage with snaps in the front....but the red is darker on one shoe than the other. Shoes are leather. Her hair is in its original set...sort of a strawberry blonde color pulled into curly ponytails and tied with green satin ribbons..original to her. She does NOT have her box but comes with a stand and the blue ribbon she won in 1990 at the Timbertown Dollology Club show in Saginaw MI. Email me with any questions and check out my other vintage Alexanders and other dolls up for auction this week. I will be listing many dolls over the next few months as I must greatly downsize my collection. I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple wins
