1955 Alexander-Kins Wendy Walker SLW Original w/ Tags Scroll down for larger views From the original owners estate, this doll is 'Wendy-Ann Walker' one of the Alexander-Kins. Made by Madame Alexander, marked Alex. The doll is 7 1/2'' high, all jointed hard plastic. She is a straight leg walker, made only in 1955. She has a wonderful, high color complexion with original paint, blue sleep eyes, molded lashes, tan brows, lashes painted below her eyes, ruby lips, & rosy cheeks. Her triple-stitched wig is golden-blonde, still in the original set. She has soft, curly side ponytails & bangs. Also original red hair bows. The body is also excellent, with walking mechanism working and head still turning slightly. Her legs have been re-strung, as the original elastic fell apart. She could be strung a little tighter to walk even better. Her body has the original matte coloring. Wendy-Ann wears her original tagged outfit. Tag reads: Alexander-kins by Madame Alexander Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. N.Y. U.S.A. The outfit includes a crisp, starched organdy dress with an off-white top, trimmed in lace, and a full red skirt. Also a matching off-white, lace trimmed apron, white panties w/ two rows of ruffles, white socks, and white suede side-snap shoes. The outfit is excellent, with just minimal wear on the shoe edges.
