This darling kiddieware set by designer Kay (Kathleen Kastner) Hackett of Stangl pottery measures 10" x 6 1/4" for the 3 divided dish and 3 3/16"diameter x 2 3/4" tall childs cup. Kay's career has spanned over 60 years beginning with Stangl in 1941. She designed many things for Stangl and her kiddieware sets are produced from the 40's-70's. This set is from 1955. The dish is in good condition with no crazing...t is one very small chip on the rim over the left side of part of the dish. A person wrote me inquiring about any "flea bites" and if it is what I think she is asking...t is one small raised bump in the dish. T is some crazing on the cup and t are a few very small chips that i really can't see...but can feel around the rim of the cup with my finger and t is a pinhead size chip on the handle. Both the cup and dish are marked on the bottom with Stangl pottery Trenton , N.J. "PlayfulPups" with the "R" and "C" . The dish also is marked with the number "210". The cup has a small added logo which looks like a pitcher on a plate...also on the opposite side of the dog is a painting of a bone. The dish has three adorable dogs what looks like to be an English springer or Britanny Spaniel...the howling dog could pass for a Beagle and the cute blue-eyed black and white is just plain cute whatever breed he may represent!
