Early, USA made Westinghouse H-319P7, 7 transistor 'coat pocket' radio from 1956. In near mint condition. BRAND: Westinghouse MODELNR.: H-319P7 (black) Note: H-317P7 and H-318P7 are the ivory and black examples MFG.DATE: 1956 MANUFACTURER: Westinghouse, USA This is again a very early Westinghouse 7 transistor 'coat pocket' radio. This H-619P7 dates from late 1956 and was Wesinghouse's second transistor radio. Westinghouse build several early 5,6,7 and 8 transistor models in similar cabinets, like this. These cabinets were probably made by Shirasuna Denki in Japan and similar looking radios appear a.o. as the Silver and Excel 6T-2 and the Continental model 150. This red Westinghouse H-619P7 is in excellent, near mint cosmetical condition without any chips, cracks, dent, repairs or any other flaws. It has a clean, high gloss, thick, sort of bakelite-like plastic cabinet. Only a brand new one will look better than this example. The radio operates on an odd 9 volt battery which is not available anymore. But with a battery adapter (for sale at ) it will also work with a standard 9 volt battery. This one tunes in several stations along the AM band with good volume. More collectable transistor radios can be found in my Ebay Shop .
