WE MUST BE INSANE, BUT THE STARTING BID IS JUST .99 CENTS!!!!! Another interesting offering from Lorraineshouse.... hows this for a rare bird? 1957 Ampeg Rocket with tremolo, all orig. except for speaker and perhaps tubes. Orig caps, orig pots, orig transformers, this thing's internals look like it came out of a time capsule. All three inputs function properly, and the tremolo system works flawlessly. Freshly serviced and gone over by The Noise Shoppe, one of the nations leading "old-tube" service centers, pots were meticulously cleaned and freshened, and got a clean bill of health. The tech was astounded that everything worked the way it should, and frankly so was I.Condition of the amplifier is a solid 8.5/10. Tolex is a bit rough on the left side, I was going to fix it but decided to leave it for the next owner to decide how he/she would like it to look. Otherwise the tolex is in very very good shape. Replacement speaker sounds terrific (unsure of brand, no markings which leads me to believe it was custom made for the amplifier at one time), and has a nice heavy magnet and excellent breakup at volume. I tested it after its service with a Les Paul with burstbucker IIs, and it was crisp and tight with the master vol maxxed, with absolutely NO flatulent tendencies.
