1957 v i n t a g e K N O L L Saarinen Investment Grade OVAL 78"X48"X 28.5" WALNUT beveled edge TOP DINING/CONFERENCE TABLE WITH SIX (6) SWIVELING, ARMED, AND FULLY UPHOLSTERED TULIP CHAIRS (BR-50) QUALITY MID-CENTURY MODERN ORIGINAL VINTAGE EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO STAINING ON THE TOP AND VIRTUALLY NO CHIPPING ON THE BASES. This set was acquired from an Insurance Executive in Middle Georgia. He died. His wife died. His now adult children HATED this table and chairs because they resented so much what it stood for! The children, now grown, were not allowed in the dining room! The couple's guests, when dining, were required to remove their watches and rings as to not damage the top, were required to leave their shoes at the dining room door as to not mar the bases, and/or destroy/decrease the beauty of the table and chairs! (their obnoxious NUEROSIS is your gain!) I am the second owner, have had it for ~5 years and have turned my space into an art gallery: SISTER LOUISA'S ART GALLERY IN THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING ROOM AND PING PONG EMPORIUM... Come On In, Precious! ORIGINAL, CLASSIC, AND TASTEFUL champagne/avocado green wool upholstery. 98% perfect condition of the fabric. NEW KNOLL INSTALLED FOAM IN ~2005 MAKES THIS SET UP-TO-DATE IN COMFORT! ALL ZIPPERS INTACT AND USABLE. The Table base is the BONE color with little, or no nicking/damage. 5 chair bases are perfect. 1 chair base stem has a horiztontal split which doesn't affect the usability of this one chair, but the aluminum is split on the stem, barely visible in one of the pictures. (no one has ever noticed but I must disclose the true condition) Any marring you see in the pictures is D U S T ! ! ! This Classic Dining Set is in Protective Storage in Atlanta, Georgia I believe all original Knoll Stickers (knoll international, ny, ny) are intact underneath the seat cushions and on the underside of the table. Foam in seat cushions is perfect and new. Foam on sidewalls of inside of chair is 90% perfect however, no visible signs of crumbling... no yellow flakey crumbs like some old knoll foam gets... The table has NO water rings, yet has one slight indention that I challenge you to find, it is only visible when noted. 24" nickle exterior/orange interior chandelier in photograhs over table is offered to successful buyer for $400.00 upon auction close, it is a PERFECT for this set!!! go to google and search
