This auction is for an original postwar Lionel 746 N&W Class "J" 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive and 746W Long-Stripe Whistle Tender in Excellent (+) (C7-C8) condition with original wrapping paper. Manufactured in 1957, this early version locomotive ran well and smoked when tested; minimal wear to the locomotive's original black painted surface and original rubber-stamped yellow/red stripe; no rust or scratches. The locomotive's bullet nose is original to the piece but shows signs of paint wear. The long-stripe tender is 100% original, complete and worked when tested; nothing cracked, broken or missing; both locomotive and tender show modest signs of play wear.
