This a very nice looking 1957 RCA transistor radio. It's model --BT-41. The radio works fine and runs on 3 C cells. It actually has pretty good sensitivity unlike most transistor radios of the time. This was likely due to RCA making this a farily large unit - it would not fit into a pocket, but is only 8 inches wide and could easily be carried along. The extra space allowed them to put in a bigger speaker and the radio performs well. This has a blond sewn leather case as you can see. It's in good shape. The front is shiny gold with a black grill. You can't see the shiny gold easily in the pics, but it does shine nicely like it should. The giant tuning knob has a red center and has the civil defense marks. If you want an old transistor in good shape, you go!
