CLASSIC 1957 SHINY YELLOW WESTERN ELECTRIC 554 ROTARY WALL PHONE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION! FEATURES: Very shiny yellow! Heavy chrome handset cradle! TESTED and ready to plug in! Dials out, receives calls, and those brass bells ring like new! Case is very shiny and in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or deep scratches. Just some minor scuffs and light scratches mainly noticeable upon close inspection in bright light. Hardwired handset cord is extra long and in very good condition. Ready to mount near your wall phone outlet and plug it in with the line cord provided, or you can remove your wall phone outlet, mount the phone over the opening, and hard wire it with 2 wires, red and green. (that's how I did mine) OR... for an extra $10, I can add a modular wall plate to the back of the phone so you can mount and plug it on to your modular wall phone outlet This is an original Western Electric 554 phone that dates to 1957, updated by the Bell System in the 1970s. BEWARE of all those auctions that say "as found" or "said to work" or "can't test it because I don't have that kind of plug" THIS PHONE is tested, and has a modern plug and dials out and rings!
