Light green Hitachi TH-667, 6 transistor 'coat pocket' radio with unusual gold reverse painted dial area.
BRAND: Hitachi MODELNR.: TH-667 MFG.DATE: 1958 MANUFACTURER: Hitachi, LTD. , Japan This beautiful designed Hitachi TH-667 from 1958 is one of my all time favorite transistor radios. Made in light blue, pink and light green, all with a stunning gold reverse painted dial area at the right side of the radio. This light green example is in very good condition, both cosmetical and technical. T is one repaired chip in the upper left corner. This repair is profesionally done with epoxy and is coloured the sam green as the plastic. You'll only notice it from a very close distance and probably only if you know it. T are no other chips, cracks, stains or any other flaw to find. The radio is very clean and shiny and displays like a brand new one. Works on 4 D Cell batteries (the two special Hitachi battery holders are still present). Reception is very sensitive and I was able to tune in many stations along the AM band with strong volume. I'll pack all items in bubble wrap and every item will be surrounded by styrofoam chips in a sturdy box. I ship monday's and friday's only.
