This is a vintage 1959 "GUNSMOKE " Metal Lunchbox . This is the rare and famous "Double L" error version . It was manufactured by "Aladdin Industries". Knowledgeable lunchbox collectors know that a small number of these were released to dealers by Aladdin before they realized that the word "Marshal" was incorrectly spelled as "Marshall" on both the front and back of the box. They were recalled and a corrected box was issued in it's place. But not before a small number of these had been sold. That makes this a rare and coveted piece. This is in nice overall display condition. The images on all 6 external sides are unfaded and display nicely. Most of the wear is confined to the edges of the tan borders.
