DESCRIPTION A group of (5) Vintage 1960’s-80’s ORIGINAL news service photographs featuring the Boston Celtics in their Championship moments. They were issued by either the Associated Press or United Press International. (1) April 10, 1959 featuring Bill Sharman and Bob Cousy celebrating after they defeated the Lakers. (2) April 11, 1961 featuring Red Auerbach and his players including Tom Heinsohn and Sam Jones after defeating the St. Louis Hawks. (3) May 14, 1981 Auerbach getting another shower after defeating the Houston Rockets. (4) June 14 1984 victory parade in Boston as the Celtics claim another title. (5) June 8, 1984 Larry Bird in action as the Celtics defeated the Lakers that year for yet another banner. All measure 8” x 10” with their press stamps on the verso.
