This is quite possibly one of the rarest Rolex Tudor watches I have offered for sale on ebay; a collectable 1960 Rolex Tudor 'Oysterthin' in stainless steel. I have over the past few months offered a collection of Rolex Tudors; all have attained a great deal of attention and a pleasing amount of bids. Slowly the vintage watch buyers are recognising the real value of these superb watches, they have long been a favourite of mine. The 'Tudor Oyster' has its standard associated features that are typical of any Oyster; the three-part case (cut from a solid bar of stainless steel) comprising of the screw back, body of the case and the screw-down winding crown. In this instance this watch is all steel to include the winding crown complete with Rolex coronet. The Oyster was introduced in 1926, and to give idea of its complexity, the screw-down winding crown takes 30 exacting operations to produce (162 for entire case). Anyway, enough about Oysters in general, back to this watch. As mentioned earlier this particular watch is collectable, the reason being it is the 'Oysterthin' model with the desirable thin Oyster case. The real benefit of this is visible when worn, the watches sits flush on the wrist.
