A gorgeous Yogi Berra card, #480 in the 1960 Topps baseball set.Two of my favorite Yogi Berra qoutes: 1) When Yogi was asked what time it was, he replied, "Do you mean now?" 2) Asked if he had gone to a certain nightclub recently, Yogi said, "Nah, nobody goes t anymore, It's too crowded." But besides his fame as a dugout comedian and philosopher, Yogi was a stalwart on the great Yankees teams of the late 1940s to the mid 60's and was one of the greatest catchers in baseball history. In 19 seasons with the Bronx Bombers, Yogi was named to 15 All-Star teams, and was named American League MVP three times (1951, 1954 and 1955) and was MVP runner-up two other times. This card (serial #11020499) has been conservatively graded by PSA as a NM 7. As you can see from the scans, the card is richly colored, well-centered and has 4 sharp corners. Definitely a high-grade 7, that must have been close to an 8. PSA's online price guide list $100 but high-grade 50s and 60s superstars recently have been going for more than "book" price. Feel free to email me with any questions. Enjoy looking at this 47 year old vintage classic of the incomparable Yogi Berra and good luck with your bidding.
