Attention Vintage Drummers: Here is a VERY interesting item. This is a 1960s STAR 16 X 16 Floor Tom in 'Yellow Satin Flame". "STAR" would become the TAMA Drum Company. This is a really, REALLY cool drum. It's a real blast back from the Psychedic 60's and would look great on your vintage set. Theres alot of Good news about this drum: I will try be 100% honest about both good and bad and let you make up your own mind: 1) Shell is in the round, heads slip on easily 2) The Chrome rims, lugs, tension rods, leg mounts and legs are all in excellent shape with 99% no pitting. Some scratches, but the chrome shines bright and clear......really, really nice. 3) Still has the original 1960s "Remo Sound Master" head!! 4) Both top and bottom heads are in good playing shape, you dont "have" to change the heads to play this drum, BUT you might want to put some Aquarian American Vintage heads on this drum for a really fabulous calf type sound. 5) The Drum SOUNDS great!! Deep and full and can be tuned any way you want it 6) Legs are in great shape, very little marks or pitting. 7) The Yellow Satin Flame finish has no tears 8) NO extra holes in this baby!! 9) The Original and VERY COOL STAR Badge is still on tight! The Not So Good: 1) The Yellow Satin flame wrap has ALOT of "Hash" and marring. Alot of it is around the lugs. I have no
