Beautiful early 1960's L-2B flight jacket from the estate of General Gabriel Disoway. Jacket has his insignia including plastic covered General stars, Tactical Air Command patch and leather name tag with Command Pilot wings. This jacket was worn by General Disoway when he commanded the Tactical Air Command from 1965 to 1968. Jacket is in excellent condition with minimal wear. All the knit parts are all original and are in excellent condition. There is no mothing with the exception of one small nip on the right cuff. DISOSWAY Retired Aug. 1, 1968. Died Feb. 23, 2001. General Gabriel P. Disosway is commander of the U.S. Air Force Tactical Air Command. This command maintains peak combat efficiency in the tactical missions of fighter, reconnaissance and assault airlift. It further trains air and ground crews as required for the overseas commands of U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Pacific Air Forces.
