We are very pleased to offer for auction this week this large, vintage Mattel Barbie and Midge lot that we just acquired from the original owner in NYC this past week. The lot includes 3 dolls, over 75 pieces of original Mattel clothing, accessories and two vinyl cases. is what we have....first the dolls. T is a blond bubble cut Barbie dating from around 1963. She has full honey blond hair that looks to be in the original set. She has large, full white lips (slight rub at the top), blue eyeliner, dark brown brows and smoky eyeshadow. She has single earring holes, one side has a tiny hint of green...but it is truly minor. Body is in very good condition with 95% of finger and toe nail polish intact. No stains on the body and arms and legs tight. She comes wearing her original red bathing suit and even has her original box (some wear to front and back flaps), red heels and black wire posing stand. Next we have a blond Midge from the same year. She has vivid make up with big blue eyes, dark brows, freckles, pink lips with slight wear to the top, She has single earring holes but no green at all. Finger and toe nail polish 95% intact....no stains on the body and legs and arms are tight. She comes with her original two piece bathing suit (in shades of blue). Suit has a run in the fabric in the front and is not in the greatest condition. She also has her black wire posing stand. Lastly we have a beautiful molded hair Midge doll from 1964. She has deep coral full lips, freckles, dark brows and vivid blue eyes. She has single earring holes (these gals all liked their jewelry) with no green at all. Her molded hair is intact with no rubs....however, she is missing her orange head band. Body is very good.....legs and arms tight, fingers intact.....some scratches on the back torso and only 45% of nail and toe polish present. She comes with two of her original wigs....the brunette up do and the blond page boy....both wigs are in very good condition. FRIDAY NIGHT DATE blue cord jumper with felt appliques, white cotton under dress, black tray, 2 drink glasses with white cotton “fizz” inside and black heels ENCHANTED EVENING gown with 3 sequins accent at the waist,, long white gloves, white fur stole (orig. owner put in a snap closure), clear open toe heels with glitter (dress in excellent condition) OPEN ROAD stripe slacks SHEATH SENSATION complete with red dress, straw hat (some fraying) short white gloves and white heels ORANGE BLOSSOM yellow strapless sheath, white lace over dress, white heels, short white gloves, floral bouquet, yellow tulle hat MOVIE DATE complete with blue and white stripe dress (snap needs to be reattached) TENNIS ANYONE complete and mint with tennis dress, cotton sweater, white sneakers, white cotton socks, tennis racket, tennis balls (still sealed in cello), tennis book and blue plastic goggles ICE BREAKER complete with white faux fur jacket, red cotton body blouse, red velvet skating skirt, nylon panty hose and skates PAK ITEMS FROM 1962 Tee shirt and shorts, orange scoop neck playsui...
