Here is an exceptional studio pottery covered jar by well known Washington potter, Constance Jarvis. She was an early potter at the Archie Bray under the direction of Peter Voulkos in the 1950's. This is the nicest piece by her I have ever had. This jar measures 6 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" at its widest. It has a deep cobalt blue glaze covering it with green wax resist abstract designs. Very unusual open form finial. It is in excellent, original condition with no chips, cracks, or glaze scratching. It is clearly signed "Jarvis" in glaze on the bottom. This is one that has been in my collection for years. Pictures should tell the story. Buyer pays $14.00 for shipping within the US. Thank you.
