DETROIT TIGERS 1960's Green Base Bobbing Head Beautiful looking bobbing head doll of the Detroit Tigers. This nodder is part of the green base series of baseball dolls, which were made in Japan back in the 1960's out of a papier mache composite material. This particular variation has the embossed "D" on the jersey, and has the tiger mascot head holding a bat in his right hand. It is in great condition for it's age with clean paint and excellent gloss. Comes with "My Favorite Baseball Team" box which is marked DETROIT (not original box). The overall condition of the doll is near mint. It has bright vibrant colors with noticeable chips or cracks. A couple of pin point touches to the ear tips and a slight production flaw on the left jersey sleeve appear to be the only imperfections. Other than that, the rest of the doll appears to be close to mint condition. Base decal is 100% intact and looks perfect. Overall, a very solid nodder that is free from surface nicks, scuffs, scratches and chips. Head rim is in great condition as well with no real issues. I've included lots of photos from different angles so you can judge the doll's overall condition for yourself. Spring is original and strong, and is securely attached to the inside of head. Doll's head sits squarely over the shoulders and bobbles perfectly. This doll is being offered
