Fantastic Fornasetti Fantastic Fornasetti Fantastic Fornasetti Fantastic Fornasetti Fantastic Fornasetti Fantastic Fornasetti One of a series of eight plates (this week, Mr. Julian is offering 6 of them; see our other items for details) produced as a limited edition for the Fiat company of Torino (Turin) Italy, this fabulous piece honors both the architectural landmarks and the unique cuisine of Torino. The Specialitá Torinesi series has transfer-printed design in black on a white porcelain body, ringed on the face by a metallic gold border. This plate pairs the recipe for Camoscio in civet with the imposing edifice of the Castello di Veruzolo . Measures 9.4 inches (24 cm) in diameter. In good vintage condition, with minor wear to design and gold from use and age, but no cracks, chips, or other damage. Fully marked on back with the Torino bull and the inscription "Specialitá Torinesi - Serie specialmente eseguita per la Fiat Torino - da Piero Fornasetti".
