A very important Hopi silver overlay bracelet, circa 1950/70's, in a wonderful geometric design by noted Hopi silversmith Lawrence Saufkie, son of Paul Saufkie, the legendary Hopi teacher and master silversmith who taught his son the trade with his tools. Lawrence's work is in many important collections such as the Heard Museum and the Peabody Museum, Harvard University. In 1962 Lawrence became the first Hopi silversmith to win an award at Indian Market, Santa Fe. This geometric silver overlay bracelet is a classic example of his exquisite craftsmanship. It measures 1" wide throughout, 5 7/8" inside end to end, an additional 1 1/4" gap, and weighs 64 grams. His bear hallmark and Saufkie surname along with Sterling are stamped inside. Excellent vintage collectable condition. High bidder to pay $4.75 S/H, which includes delivery confirmation. All sales, as in any auction, are final. If this is not acceptable to you, please don't bid. I accept money orders, personal checks (held awhile), and Paypal.
