VERY RARE ORIG INAL MID CENTURY MODERN BENITO MARCOLIN FOR SWEDISH FIRM FM RONNEBY , LABEL SIGNED, c 1960's NO RESERVE Handmade studio blown art glass lamp by Benito Marcolin for FM Ronneby, still bearing two or iginal paper fo il labels 'Handiwork FM Konstglas R onneby Sweden' and 'Akta Guld 24 karat' (=Real Gold 24 carats' in Swedish ) Italian brothers Marcolin came to town of Ronney in the south part of Sweden in the 1960s and started a successful glass firm there. Both brothers were exceptually skilled glassblowers, trained at legendary M urano in Italy, and they made a large range of products for their new firm, mostly known for their animal figurines, vases and lamps, such as this one, are rarely seen on the market. T heir Italian heritage shows clearly in m uch of their work, and is perhaps especially recognizable in this hea vy lamp base with an impressive pattern of internall y trapped controlled air bubbles and tons of gold flecks, a design similar to the ones of Seguso and Barovier & Toso, but with their very own style and feel to the design, possibly inspired also from the ir new surroundings in Sweden Grea t vintage condition, light wear only to the base and exterior and some wear to the two paper foil labels - although please note this piece has got a fine line (crack) just a few centimeters from the top where the
