Vintage "SPOTTY" The Wooden Rocking Horse
I purchased "SPOTTY" for my nephew on his 1st birthday in 1968. Years later, he made a gift of "SPOTTY" to my daughter for her 1st Christmas in 1984. They both loved him and had many hours of enjoyment riding him. "SPOTTY stands 11-1/4" tall and is 19" long x 7" wide. The seat is 4-1/4" from the floor. He is very sturdy. Constructed of 3/4" thick pine and assembled with screws. His original red handles are in good condition with a small amount of wear. The bell on his nose and the blue & red paint are also original and have a little wear. His seat has a couple of scrapes and the backrest has a few small dings and edge wear in the finish. The front left rocker has a small hairline crack 1" down from the top. (see photo 5) This is a great toy for a toddler ... or for display!
