The 1961 Roosevelt is the second rarest of the early proof coins, 1950-1964, in Deep Cameo. Part of the reason is that the US Mint destroyed about half of the 1961 Proof sets, in order to capitalize on the rising price of silver at the time. This 1961, is a knockout with excellent eye appeal. Thick Blast white Deep Cameo contrast on the Obverse and Reverse with Pitch Black and very deep mirrors on both sides. Absolutely a Knockout!
