1961 Revell Model Kit 'Chicken Little' Hatching Chick
This model kit was only partially used--one of the big chicks had been glued together but had later come apart--and one of the clear pieces had one piece cut off--it is still in the box. I do not think that the missing pieces were used--just broken and lost from storage--packing and throwing around. There are actually 2 sets--one is almost complete--one is not. The best one has everything but some of the plastic pieces are cracked and 2 of the clear egg parts are broken out. There are 7 stages of an egg hatching into a chick. There are clear plastic cutouts--yellow plastic pieces that can be glued together to make the embryo in different stages. most of the pieces were still in the plastic bags. I am combining the 2 sets so that maybe someone can use pieces from one to the other. There are 2 sets of instructions--2 complete boxes--and some pieces will be duplicated. The instruction sheets are dated 1961. The kit will not be in perfect condition--some of the plastic pieces were so thin that they have been mashed and have creases. The best one will be the one with the clear pieces with the red and blue stripes in the foreground of the first picture. The boxes do have some broken and some taped corners. I did not find another one of these on ebay anywhere--which is really unusual. Please do not use the end of item notification that ebay sends as soon as the auction ends--the shipping calculator is usually wrong--it does not show any discounts or combined shipping--wait for me to send you an invoice through ebay. Thanks
I will now only accept Paypal due to ebay's new policy. SORRY! Item will be shipped as soon as payment is cleared--usually within 3 days excluding Sundays, Holidays and bad weather. Payment is required within 7 days unless you have made other arrangements with me before the end of the auction. I will send a reminder after 4 days-- and after 10 days an unpaid item dispute will be filed with ebay and the sale will be void. I am always willing to work with a buyer if the request is reasonable.
PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU ARE INVOICED, you might be able to save some money on the shipping cost if you wait until I have the package completely wrapped-- the shipping calculator is wrong a lot of times and does not show any discounts--sometimes the shipping calculator does not show all of the options especially on lightweight or combined purchases-- the weight may be a little different one way or the other--but I am always fair and wil go to extra trouble to trim down boxes to save an ounce to hopefully get the package within the rate range-- ebay no longer allows sellers to offer insurance--I cannot refund money on uninsured items and postage is not included in any refund. There are some small discounts for Priority International with online postage and the savings will be passed on to the buyer. I will combine shipping on items within 10 days if you will let me know that you are still bidding. You will only be charged for the extra weight. I will ship domestic packages- Priority-Parcel Post-First Class (if weight is under 13 oz.) and Media Mail (if the item qualifies). I use online shipping for tracking purposes and it is convenient because I live far out in a rural area and this allows me to ship the items quicker. Priority includes delivery confirmation for free, but all other choices will include 19c for delivery confirmation. International shipping options are limited with online shipping, so international bidders should ask for rates before bidding. The new options that will be used are Priority Mail International which will offer two sizes of flat rate boxes--these can be used for items that weigh up to 20 pounds that will fit into the box(the boxes are not very big). All other Priority Mail International packages will be based on weight and rates to the buyer's address. Canada and Mexico are cheaper than other countries. This option will be available on-line and will allow me to get your items shipped faster. First ...
