1961 SCHWINN STREAMLINER MENS TANK BIKE VINTAGE PANTHER HORNET S7 HEADLIGHT+HORNDescriptionTHIS IS AWESOME!Here is an original VINTAGE (I believe made April 11th 1961. The serial number is D125212) men's Schwinn STREAMLINER beach cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing BLACK and white 2-tone colored factory paint. If you like HARD TO FIND original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!*This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame with original paint and decals, frame mounted "peanut" tank with horn inside, (untested) truss rod forks, original screen chainguard, Messinger cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, full fenders, fender mounted DELTA HAWK headlight, (has lens, untested) newer pedals, and more!*This bike was recently removed from VERY long term storage in a dry Wisconsin home basement. This one has not seen the light of day in DECADES and has not been owned by collectors! Be the first to get this one in the light and enjoy it! You sometimes see the Panther 2, American, Jaguar, etc models but the Streamliner bikes from this series are next to impossible to find! I like it and hope you do too!*The tires are 26x1 3/4". They are vintage WIDE WHITEWALL tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear.*The bike is an original Bendux 2-SPEED KICKBACK with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike or to change gears) The 2-speed seems to only be working as a single speed right now.*DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 27 1/2". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/4". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok for its age! The paint looks ok for a 55+ year old bike! (has chips scratches shows age etc. You gotta LOVE original paint bikes!) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to). The rims have side dents. This is a cool bike that cant wait to be enjoyed once again! A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
