1962 Press Photo Ken Hubbs of Cubs Ties National League Record of No Error Games

This is an original press photo. Youthful fans surrounded rookie second baseman Ken Hubbs of the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley field Tuesday after he had tied the National league record of 57 consecutive games without an error. Hubbs has handled 303 chances in the streak. The record was set by Red Schoendienst of the St. Louis Cardinals in 1950. Despite Hubbs' feat, the Cubs lost to the Giants by a 9-2 score.Photo measures 9 x 7inches. Photo is dated 08-15-1962.
