RARE 1962 U.S. History Books " JOHN ADAM S : Vol umes 1 and 2" Set by Page Smith , FIRST EDITIONS published by Doubleday , New York. The first biography of this American icon written after the great treasury of his papers and letters became av ailable to schol ars, this two-volume set tells the story of this remarkable statesman, political theorist, diplomat, and second President of the United States. Interesting reading! 1200+ total pages, indexed with notes. Illustrated. Books are in good condition for thier age, pages show only slight yellowing and little wear. Covers are in fair condition with some wear and water damage , bin dings are tight. Dust jackets in poor condition with rips and tears. This came from an estate that had a HUGE library of antiquarian books, with many rare and out-of-print titles that I will also be listing. Low starting price and NO RESERVE!
