You are bidding on an autographed 1982 Jackie Robinson Baseb all First Day Cover signed by San Francisco Giants stars Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Jim Davenport, Orlando Cepeda, Billy Pierce and Tom Haller (Includes COA from PSA)...also includes original George Brace photos of Mays (5x7), McCovey, Marichal, Jack Sanford and Tom Haller... , The Giants won the National League pennant in 1962, with Mays leading the team in eight offensive categories. The team finished the regular season in a tie for first place with the Los Angeles Dodgers , and went on to win a three-game playoff series against the Dodgers, advancing to play in the World Series . The Giants lost to the Yankees in seven games, and Mays batted .250 with two extra-base hits. It was his last World Series appearance as a member of the Giants. Willie Howard Mays, Jr. (born May 6, 1931) is a retired American professional baseball player who spent the majority of his Major League Baseball (MLB) career as a center fielder with the New York and San Francisco Giants before finishing with the New York Mets .
