Volume 1 The Explorers (986-1701) Volume 2 The Indian Wars (1675-1774) Volume 3 The Age of Revolution (1774-1783) Volume 4 Building the Nation (1783-1850) Volume 5 The Civil War (1850-1865) Volume 6 Winning The West (1865-1907) Volume 7 The Age of Steel (1889-1917) Volume 8 Becoming a World Power (1917-1940) Volume 9 Second World War (1940-1945) Volume 10 Age of the Atom (1945- ) Volumes 11 and 12 are dedicated to Famous Americans, Volume 11 A-L, Volume 12 M-Z. Each hardback book has full color illustrations on the front and back covers and a fold-out, full color illustration in front that was meant to be framed. All the fold-outs are intact. Illustrations are signed Alton S. Tobey. Lots of information, photos and paintings. Very, Very minor wear, no tears, no loose or missing pages, no stains. This is a great set for any child.
