1963 SCHWINN DELUXE AMERICAN TANK BIKE VINTAGE JAGUAR/PANTHER S7+RACK! RAT ROD!DescriptionHere is an original Feb 1963 VINTAGE (serial number is B3) men's Schwinn AMERICAN beach cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing RADIANT BLUE colored factory paint. If you like UNIQUE unrestored original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!*This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, frame mounted slimline TANK with horn inside (untested) original screen chainguard, Schwinn cruiser style seat, (shows age) wide cruiser handlebars, full fenders, (I believe these are Stainless Steel like the Corvette bikes!) super cool rear carrier rack, cool pedals, and more! This one has factory chrome fender braces, seat post clamp, and kickstand. These are nice factory details only found on the deluxe bikes of the era.*I BELIEVE this bike to be mostly original parts from when it was new way back in 1963! WOW! See pics and be your own expert.*I ALWAYS have customers asking for a "buy it now" price on my bikes. I thought I would try it on this one! If it goes over, I may do more in the near future! This is such a cool bike and they do not come along often! A tank like this alone on ebay sold for $214! You get the WHOLE BIKE! I hope you LOVE IT!*The tires are 26x 1 3/4". They are vintage slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear with a Bendix rear hub. NOTE The front wheels seems to have a slight split by the valve stem. (see closeup pic) It may just be the factory seam but I like to be honest. (see pics and be your own judge)*The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike)*DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/4". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 19". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok for its age! The paint looks ok for a 50+ year old bike! (has chips scratches top bar wear etc) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to). The front fender is held on with small straps vs being bolted to the forks. (see pics) The tank has dents and the lower sides are painted silver. A cool "rat rod" fixer upper type bike with LOTS of potential! If you Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.*This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
