You are bidding on a rare Wallace China Chuck Wagon platter made in Los Angeles California. It measures 12" x 8" and is a hard to find pattern of Wallace restaurant ware. It is signed Wallace China California USA with a date code E-6 printed in green, and Chuck Wagon printed in orange. The date code E-6 is for June 1963. All printing is original and done under the glaze.The front design features a group of six cowboys gathered around the camp fire eating dinner as its served from the chuck wagon with catcus, horses, and ten cattle brands on the upper rim. I checked the replacement website and found this pattern and size under code PL12 selling for $259.95. It is in very good pre-owned condition showing normal wear consistent with age, it has a few light surface scratches on the face and the rim but no cracks or chips.The back is in good shape too, there are what looks like 3 small ceramic specks that got stuck in the glaze during construction, the photo shows one of them and the other two are similar in size.
