!!!!! CAMEO PROOF 1964 ACCENT HAIR KENNEDIES ARE RARE !!!!! What a very special example of this scarce variety of the 1964 Kennedy half dollar! In 1964 the mint did some very limited re-engraving to produce some stronger detail in president Kennedy’s hair. This was done only on a few proof dies and comprised only about 2% of the total 1964 proof halves production. Full cameo examples of this variety are very scarce. The few dies with the “accent hair” detail apparently were not prepared very well. Consequently very few cameo accent hair examples were struck. THIS PIECE IS A VERY NICE 2-SIDED CAMEO… LOVELY FROSTED CONTRAST ON BOTH SIDES. THE MIRRORS ON BOTH SIDES ARE THOSE TRULY SUPERB DEEP JET “BLACK HOLES” WHICH OCCUR ONLY ON THE VERY EARLIEST STRIKES OF FRESH DIES. THE DEVICES ON THIS BEAUTY JUST GLOW AT YOU WITH THAT WHITE MINT FROST!! AWESOME EYE APPEAL! THE SURFACES ARE ULTRA PRISTINE!! IT IS A PURE WHITE GORGEOUS MEGA-GEM EXAMPLE OF THIS ISSUE. I CANNOT FIND EVEN THE TINIEST HAIRLINE!! LOOKS TO BE WORTHY OF A 68 EVEN FROM THOSE PCGS CURMUDGEONS!! One more real diamond in the raw!
