This is a vintage 1964 " CAPTAIN KANGAROO " Vinyl Lunch Box. It was manufactured by "King Seeley Thermos" (KST). This is one of the classic and most desirable 1960's vinyl lunch boxes.

Condition wise, this box is C9 (Near Mint) in my opinion. It is still nice and square, the beautiful 3 sided full color art is still nice and bright with no fading. T are just some very minor tears at the hinge area...other than that t are no tears or seam splits of any kind. This is a real pretty 43 year old box. Please take a look at the high resolution photos and judge for yourself.

The 2007 Book Value (Toys & Prices 2007) is listed at $550. The latest Larry Aikins price guide (1999) lists this box at $440 in only C8 Excellent condition...this box is much better than C8!

INSURANCE : I will pack your item with great care. USPS insurance is available at the buyer's option. The insurance cost will vary based on the final sale amount and the USPS insurance rate table. I will let you know this optional insurance cost on your invoice.
