FREE PRIORITY SHIPPING! The Fatboy's younger brother, this 1964 nickel-plated Gillette Adjustable Slim double edged razor is in NEAR MINT condition and is every bit as finely made as the Fatboy! The date code reads J 4 (Fourth Quarter, 1964). This razor looks UNUSED!, but may have been - it's hard to be sure!! The razor is very clean, with an amazing mirror shine. The adjustment dial works great, and solidly The numbers 1-9 and the dots all have all of the black enamel intact. The doors open and close smoothly and precisely. The TTO adjustment closes firmly and exactly. This is a such a piece of American craftsmanship, and it's made to last! (I just broke my 30 year old Atra daily shaver, so it might be wise to snag this before I end this item and keep it for myself :P ) This razor is 100% original, and has not been re-plated. It's so mirror-like that it's hard to get the actual color without picking up colors from around the room. I rate this one near mint (zoom in on the pictures!)! It's possible that this razor was never used and the razor blades were just used out of the case for another razor. There is no plate wear, brassing, corrosion, or tarnish to be found. This would make a great cornerstone piece to any collection, a dependable daily shaver, or both!The case is in fair to good condition, with no major cracks/chips/blemishes, but it does have some scuffs and scratches from storage (see images). The bottom is in nearly perfect shape, so it looks like it sat in one place - a drawer, or a box - with things on top of it. I could detect no cracks. It's pretty good, color-wise, and does display the razor nicely. It even has a female stanchion-thing for a sliding wall mount on the back - no bracket to be found, though.Comes with a period blade package that was in it when found, but it has only a couple blades left in the 10 blade pack. Could be this razor has only been through 8 blades. Doesn't look like it's met that many, if any, that's for sure. The blades package does have a couple rust spots poking through the crest of the creases. It is what is is.This model features the 9 different closeness settings for a truly custom shave! You can make it as gentle or aggressive as you want with just the turn and " I tell ya, no better example of American craftsmanship can be found currently made today; the way it " Were you born in '64?
