The lady had been a friend of my family's since the early eighties. She passed away in 2007. I grew up with the stories and the balls that she had. She grew up in St. Louis. From what I understand, her family lived behind the Cardinals' stadium. Her brother was a big ball fan. He would get balls that were hit out of the park, take them in after the game and get them signed. He would then sell them for pocket money. He was pre-teen in the early sixties. He was killed in an auto accident in 1970. The lady was given four balls, by her mother, that her brother had saved through the sixties. I was told that he kept these balls because of the Bill White signatures, he was the boys favorite player. I bought a 1962, two 1964's and this 1965. I still have all four...
