Added: I apologize to the watchers and bidders, I cancelled the original auction once I realized I left a number off of the starting price. Starting bid was supposed to be 169.99, not 69.99. This is 20 grams of 10K gold, right now, I am paid $8.26 per gram for scrap 10K gold. That is $165.20 six blocks from home in scrap value. I posted this for sale due to the collector and historical value of a Mardi Gras doubloon struck over 40 years ago and in limited quantities. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience. Good Luck and Merry Christmas. Yes, the elusive 10karat solid gold 1966 Krewe of Venus Mardi Gras Doubloon. These were struck in the early years of doubloons by the Krewe of Venus and are hard to find. This is not plated or filled, it is solid 10K gold. The weight is 20 grams. Don't miss this opportunity. These were not available to the public, strictly a members or friends item. This over 40 year old rare doubloon is truley a piece of Mardi Gras history.This is an amazing find for the doubloon collector and an interesting aquisition for the gold collector.
