1-01-66 32nd Annual Sugar Bowl Classic Florida Gators versus Missouri Tigers football game program. Game was played at Tulane Sugar Bowl Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gator head coach Ray Graves had several outstanding players on this year's team including future Heisman Trophy winner Steve Spurrier, Richard Trapp, Allen Trammell, Charles Casey, Larry Gagner, Ron Pursell, Harmon Wages, Hal Seymour and Barry Brown. Tiger head coach Dan Devine had several outstanding players of his own including Ray Thorpe, Johnny Roland, Charles Brown, Francis Peay, Russell Washington and Gary Lane.

A newspaper writer covering the game made the following remark---"Steve Spurrier and his teammates were as valiant in defeat as any team ever was. In the fourth quarter the junior quarterback swept his team to three touchdowns in barely 11 minutes of play. He completed 16 of 23 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns, and scored another himself within that 15-minute frame. To put it in perspective, the Sugar Bowl pass completion record for an entire game had been 17, set by Davey O'Brien in 1939". In the end it was not enough as Missouri prevailed 20-18. The program appears to be in very good + condition.
