You are bidding on a rare 1966 Venezuelan Topps #50 Mickey Mantle card graded PSA 3. Only 5 are graded higher. According to the PSA population report, this awesome Mantle card has only been graded 21 times. Compare that to the 1966 American Topps Mantle which has been graded a whopping 3,273 times and counting! That makes this Venezuela Topps Mantle card 155 TIMES RARER than the American Topps Mantle! For that matter, this 1966 Mantle is far rarer than MantleÂ's 1952 Topps Rookie which has been graded 828 times!
Venezuela Topps cards were produced in extremely limited quantity for the Venezuela market. Most of the Venezuelan cards that remain today were glued into albums and have major paper loss on the back after being removed. This card has has no tape stains, glue stains or paper loss on front or back. This Mantle card is identical to its American Topps issue except for one very interesting difference: The surface finish on the Venezuelan Topps is matted -- not glossy or shiny at all like the American Topps.

Mantle is number 13 on the All-time home run list with 536. Mantle led the American League in home runs 4 times, won two batting titles including the triple crown in 1956, and led the league in scoring 6 times. Mickey Mantle was one of the greatest sluggers of all-time, and a true hero and winner, in every sense of the word. He won the World Series with the Yankees an amazing 7 times, and belted 18 World Series home runs, more than even Babe Ruth. It's a record that will probably never be broken. Mantle also holds the record for most World Series RBI (40), most World Series walks (43), and most World Series runs scored (42). Mantle was an American League All-Star just about from his rookie year on, 1952 to 1965. This 3-time American League MVP will always be remembered as a special person and very special Yankee.
