I recently acquired at auction over 300 pieces including celebrity photographs and autographs; United States presidential first lady ephemera (signed letters, photographs, etc.); historical documents (19th & 20th century) and the like. These appear to be from a collector and seller of historical signatures. Most items included background information (which, in most instances, I will include in my description). All are in clear plastic sleeves (I'm assuming acid free). The way I acquired each piece is how you will receive it. In most instances, I have scanned the document for the most accurate image. Elizabeth Virginia Wallace "Bess" Truman Very nice autograph letter signed, two pages on single folded page of monogrammed stationery ("BWT"), entirely written (envelope and letter) in Mrs. Truman's hand, sent to one Mrs. Arthur Ek, 6301 Woodson Drive, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, 66202. Envelope postmarked July 6, 1967, Independence, MO, reads in full: Dear Mrs. Ek - It was wonderfully kind of you to send me this attractive bracelet. I am particularly fond of bracelets and shall surely enjoy wearing this very interesting one. Thank you so much for your generous and thoughtful gift. Sincerely, /s/ Bess Wallace Truman Envelope (embossed on back '219 North Delaware, Independence, MO') and letter included. Measurements: 5" x 3 3/4 ". Bold writing and nice bold signature as well. Overall condition is very good to excellent. Elizabeth Virginia Wallace Truman (February 13, 1885 âe" October 18, 1982), widely known as Bess Truman , was the wife of Harry S.
