DESPITE MY PICTURES, THIS VASE IS PERFECTLY CLEAR
This is an extraordinary Labino vase. I think it's a brilliant piece of Abstract Art Glass. Creative, imaginative, deliberately blown in clear glass, and shows the genius of Labino as a preeminent leader of Abstract Glass making from an exciting Era. Came from a well-appointed Estate auction held in the Midwest. Owners primarily collected Modern Abstract pieces of Art Glass. This is vase #3 from their collection.
It was sold as a paperweight vase. The condition is pristine. T are no chips or cracks and no repairs to this piece. I love the shape and feel of the glass. Is weighty and substantial in the palm. Very, very smooth and sensuous to hold.
I find this piece stunning and thoughtful. Pensive. Intellectual. The abstract bubbles suspended within the glass take on an organic expression. Molten. Lively. They capture and diffuse light, ever-changing, depending on your viewing angle. Find this a rather brilliant, and subtle concept, fully mastered by Labino.
The controlled bubbles have a light and airy quality. Looks like they are in motion, floating towards the surface, ready to burst. Truly wonderful.

The quality of the glass is superb. Again, despite my pictures, is perfectly clear. Bright. Clean. It is perfectly proportioned in size and shape and the quality is as expected with any piece of fine Labino.
I think this is an exciting piece of Art Glass. Is an exemplary example of Labino's creative style, artistic command of his medium, and his versatile genius with glass.
