They called it "The Impossible Dream." The year was 1967, and the Boston Red Sox beat off intense, down-to-the-wire competition to reach the World Series for the first time since 1946. Among the stars on that year's squad were Triple Crown winner Carl Yastrzemski, talented young pitcher Jim Lonborg, and Gold Glove first baseman George Scott, all of whom were led by manager Dick Williams. Twenty-five (25) members of the 1967 Boston Red Sox team have hand signed this limited edition Cooperstown Impossible Dream 40th Anniversary commemorative bat, including Dick Williams, Carl Yastrzemski, Jim Lonborg, Sparky Lyle, Norm Siebern, Mike Ryan, Jose Santiago, Reggie Smith, Dennis Bennett, George Scott, Billy Rohr, Jose Tartabull, Dan Osinski, Dalton Jones, Dave Morehead, Bill Landis, Gary Bell, George Thomas, Lee Stange, Gary Waslewski, Rico Petrocelli, Darrell Brandon, Jerry Moses and Russ Gibson. This bat is limited to 50 and each bat is numbered. All players signed this bat at our Sports Card Show at Mohegan Sun Casino June 2-3, 2007. The bat will come with a Mike Riccio Sports Certificate of Authenticity and hologram. We have been promoting Sport Card and Sport Memorabilia Shows for over 20 years. Be sure to stop by our retail store: Legends of the Game, 381 Post Rd. East, Westport, CT.
